Our marquetry artwork repertoire includes scenes from everyday life, portraits, flowers, animals, architecture, and abstract representations. The sizes of our pieces range from small jewelry items to tableaus up to 2 meters in length, all crafted with the finest attention to detail.
The Diversity of Themes
The fine art of wood inlay is showcased in large-format works with the most delicate gradations of color, currently on display at the Mari Gallery in Linz/Donau. Creating these intricate and artistically demanding works requires decades of experience. Toraj and Seyda bring this expertise to each work, using between 20 to 100 different types and shades of wood for a single inlay. Individual wood pieces are often only a few millimeters in size.
No additional colors are applied; the refined and subtle hues arise solely from the natural tones of the selected woods. Materials are sourced from around the world, including roots and other woody plant parts. Even old wood, often considered waste, is utilized, granting access to rare or no longer available types. In this sense, their inlay art is not only meticulous but also sustainable
