Our specialty lies in marquetry, an age-old art form that transforms the natural colors of various woods into breathtaking masterpieces. Traditionally, marquetry involved simple motifs and patterns, but through our unique techniques and experience, we have revolutionized this craft. Our relentless dedication has pushed the boundaries of convention, allowing us to create intricate designs and complex color separations. Our journey through the intricate world of marquetry has been a labor of love, driven by a passion for excellence and a commitment to preserving and enhancing this esteemed art form. We are dedicated to transforming mere wood into vibrant, living works of art. Through our marquetry, we embark on a journey to revive images—whether classic masterpieces, captivating landscapes, or abstract dreams—by harnessing the elegance of wood in its many colors and forms.
Toraj Rahimi – My Life
At the age of 17, Toraj Rahimi discovered the craft of marquetry and was immediately captivated by working with various types of wood. He pursued a degree in Graphic Design, following a focus on painting at a graphic arts school. Over the years, he has continuously evolved and refined his techniques, transforming his marquetry into mesmerizing paintings. Toraj Rahimi holds an honorary doctorate from the Ministry of Arts in Tehran and is an Associate Professor at the Institute of Cultural Heritage. These appointments are accompanied by numerous other awards. In his television appearances, he frequently discusses his artistic work and the technique of creating intricate marquetry images. His exhibitions in Italy, Austria, Germany, Iran, and other countries consistently captivate and inspire audiences. He promotes the art of marquetry through teaching at the University of Tabriz and continues to educate many students online.
Seyda – My Life
Seyda Khajehnezhad schloss ihr Studium im Bereich Kunsthandwerk an der dafür berühmten Universität in Teheran mit einem Postgraduate-Master-Studium ab.
Sie verfügt über einen Kunstabschluss 2. Grades des Ministeriums für Kunst und Kultur in Teheran. Ihr Studienschwerpunkt war das Kunsthandwerk auf Holzbasis. Ihre Dissertation schrieb sie über den Stil, die Art der Farbtrennung in Gemälden aus verschiedenen Holzarten.
Während ihres Studiums entstand Ihre Faszination für Holzintarsien und es entstanden ihre ersten eigenen Werke.
Es gelang ihr, den Preis für das durch eine Jury ausgewählte beste Jahreswerk des Instituts für Kulturerbe zu erhalten und auch die Anerkennung des Ministeriums für Kunst und Kultur dafür zu erhalten.
Nach Ihrem Studienabschluss hat sie selbst an der Universität in Teheran viele Studenten ausgebildet und viele spezielle Fachseminare, sogenannte Jajmans, organisiert.
Seyda unterrichtete etwa 15 Jahre in der eigenen Galerie, die sie gemeinsam mit Toraj Rahimi in Teheran führte und bereitete zahlreiche Auftragsarbeiten für Kunden aus der ganzen Welt auf.
